Erith has demonstrated a broad range of contracts they are working on, in challenging or sensitive environments, working with constraints such as public access to adjacent sites and maintaining relations with nearby residents.
Strong relationship building was demonstrated in particular in the way that Erith fostered good relations with surrounding businesses and residents on its Paddington Square project, liaising with stakeholders, publishing newsletters and ensuring the London blue route bus tour remained open at all times.
Excellent on-site delivery is shown in particular through the way in which Erith was able to manage egress from the Paddington Square site through a robust logistics regime, reducing disruption and ensuring the safety of its workers and other stakeholders.
The company has shown its ability to work on environmentally sensitive projects at the Whiteleys Shopping Centre, where trees have been carefully removed to allow plant access, prior to being returned to the site on the development’s conclusion.
Erith’s submission was a comprehensive one, demonstrating a full range of capabilities, working in a variety of different environments and maintaining good relations with clients and other stakeholders. It is for this reason that the judges felt the company would make a fitting winner of the Demolition Contractor of the Year award.
